I love that quote. It is so true. Unfortunately I know a lot more people who drain me..lol
ReplyDeleteThe drainers take so much time and energy!
DeleteVery well said.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Strong women runners really inspire me the most.
DeleteVery well said! (and yes, I realize that is exactly what the person above me said as well, but it's true!). I love the quote you used, too. I think that people who take a positive outlook on things and are typically glass half full are very inspirational people to be around, because of their spirit. The ones that are always finding something to be negative about are the draining ones.
ReplyDeleteIt's important to find those that lift you up, because unfortunately the other kind are in abundance.
DeleteI love this! So much inspiration in our running blogger world.
ReplyDeleteThere absolutely is and I am very grateful for that.
DeleteThat's great and I agree! You inspire me!!
ReplyDeleteYou are such an inspiration Darlene! You are definitely in the "kick butt and take names" category!
DeleteI am inspired by people I can relate to Karen and that is you! You keep on keeping on, even when you are struggling. You also handled your injury with such grace.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote but I love what you wrote even more!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The female blogging community is very inspirational to me.
DeleteSweet post! You're definitely a huge inspiration to me! Especially during that darn Fitbit challenge..you got my butt up during work just so I could keep up with you! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. I haven't been as active in the challenges lately (trying to rest and save my hips for marathon training and water skiing). I need to get back into that. It's fun.
DeleteI love it! I am really inspired my all the moms in our group. We are all at different places and stages and it's fun to watch them achieve their goals.
ReplyDeleteThat would be very inspiring, especially if they are new to running. It makes me wish I had a group. :(
DeleteI'm inspired by anyone that keeps fighting the fight :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. Those that struggle and continue on are so inspirational!
DeleteYou do! YOU inspire me to try different things, push hard and keep going! I love, LOVE this post so simple yet says so much! :)
ReplyDeleteYou friendship inspires me Tricia. I've always appreciated your "extra" interaction with me. I can't wait to follow along and witness your new journey.
DeleteThis is so nice!! All the blogs I follow inspire me, more than I can describe. The running community is so fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSide note: I think the heat is getting to me. I looked at the picture and thought - how nice and cool it must be to run on that path....
Yes, I think our community is wonderful! The pic was taken at Disney World in February. It was wonderfully cool that morning on my run.
DeleteThat quote above is awesome, love it. I haven't actually heard that one before, but it is so true!
ReplyDeleteI do like to follow bloggers who inspire me, or uplift me. In fact, I've actually quite following bloggers in the past when they get to whinney.
I am trying very hard to be positive right now in this heat! I don't always succeed. LOL. Getting frustrated or down is part of it. But, I agree with you. If that's ALL you can talk about, it gets old. I'd rather hear what you are going to do to change the situation.
DeleteThis is great, and I love the quote - so true! I am inspired by you and the other running bloggers I follow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up! :-)
Thanks. You are giving us words that truly make us put our thinking caps on!
DeleteI love this! It's why I love my blends so much!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard that word before. Cute. I like it!
Deleteso true for me too! I love reading running blogs for the inspiration. It helps you realize you aren't alone in your struggle. I get so excited for people when they have success and triumph.
ReplyDeleteI know so few people who are into running as much as I am, so bloggers are really a wonderful community for me.
DeleteI posted something on our FB page this week about the women who inspire us. I really love the camaraderie with internet runners. There are so many positive things with the triumphs and challenges.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way I could find such a concentration of women runners (especially older ones) in my own world like I have in the blogging community.
