I make no secret of my love of water (and being outside in the sunshine).  WATER.  Around it.  In it. Under it.  On it.  Beside it.  You get my drift.  It.is.good.for.my.soul.  This week I can say I got my fill. My week began in Florida where the weather was ideal, making my morning Gulf side runs so enjoyable.  It ended on our favorite local lake.  Whoot...I water skied on Easter Weekend -- a record early start.  It was cold. I'm not complaining.   And, leave it to me to put my wet suit on inside out.  So I just rocked it that way!

I know everyone's busy enjoying time with their families (myself included) so I'll just do the quick down and dirty picture version of my Weekly Wrap.

JUST...WOW!

Silly mailbox greetings from Florida!

Dinner with a view!

Attempting some much needed speed work

My inside out wet suit still did the job!

This 12 miler was a struggle...but I finished.

And that's a wrap!

Tell me something you find good for your soul!

  1. I love all the pics! How cool that you've already gotten out on the water! It got up to 83° here today, but I bet the water is cold!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter. Ours was so nice and relaxing with family and friends!

Thanks for the linkup! I'll link my true weekly wrap back to yours and Tricia's posts without actually linking it up...

    1. The water was nippy, but once I was up and working hard I got very warm.

  2. 12-milers seem to be the theme this weekend...and the majority seem to have that common "struggle" theme LOL I think I'm slipping back in to my marathon training mindset...where the tough runs (sometimes) surprise me with decent paces/stats and the easy ones go much slower than I think (what the what???). I love the inside-out wet suit! Now that's something I'd do ;-)

    1. I shouldn't have waited so late to run (8:00). It got really warm. It was too much trouble to correct the wet suit. The proper side is actually cute its purple sleeves. Next time.

    1. Not brave, just crazy. The wet suit helps when the water is chilly. In a few weeks, I won't need it.

  13. Wow what great mileage for the week. And getting out on the water? I'm jealous!! I do love being outside and it's FINALLY getting warm here. We were in the 60s-70s all weekend and I think it even got to almost 80 on Saturday!! I didn't get out on the water yet, but we did spend some time outside.

    1. You'll do fantastic! No pounding on the body and lots of upper body strength required -- which you've got in spades. I tired quickly but that should get better as the summer progresses.

I am jealous of your water time.

It'll be another month before we get to the lake and then it is too cold to go in until July. But I am going to Fla for a week on May. Woo Hoo!!!

Sounds like a good week, both with workouts and on the water. I grew up on a lake so I am a huge fan of being out on the water,(lake, ocean,river...) I also love being in a boat, by a boat, near a boat...and of course I cant be close to water without being close to a fishing pole :)
Hope you had a wonderful Easter!
