Happy Monday everyone. I'm linking up with Tara @ Running 'N' Reading for the Weekend Update.
I had the wonderful opportunity to be at the Mouse's House over the weekend.
I thought I'd share a few pictures from my early morning runs on the expansive property of the Fort Wilderness resort.

Tell me about your weekend! Did anyone have a race?
Was the weather nice enough to enjoy your outdoors?
I'm soaking up your warm looking pics! It was a balmy 40 something here on saturday and we melted some of our 20+" of snow but still nowhere near as nice as your weather.

DeleteActually, not as warm as I hoped but still very nice.
These pics are wonderful!! We had SUCH great weather here this weekend; I really couldn't believe it. Thank you so much for sharing these and for linking up with the blog today; hope you have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure old man winter will shows itself again. But,Spring is getting closer and closer!
DeleteLooks like beautiful scenery to run in!
ReplyDeleteVery quiet and peaceful for a Disney resort!
DeleteHow fun to just go to Disney for the weekend. You're so lucky!
ReplyDeleteBefore the kids get too old to want to be with us...probably already too late!
DeleteGreat pics. When I go to Disney I am usually there for a race so I don't go running other than that. It would be nice to run whenever you want though. Rather than getting up super early to get to the start. -L
ReplyDeleteThis was the first time I haven't raced in a long time. It was nice just to go for fun. Yeah, that 3:00 wakeup call is rough.
DeleteHow fun to be at Disney over the weekend. We had perfect weather for running on Saturday and with a 16 miler, I was very happy.
ReplyDelete16 miles is wonderful especially in good weather!
DeleteSo beautiful, are those Cyprus tree's? I have been to some swampy area's in the south and I absolutely love tree's like that, creepy yet beautiful at the same time!
ReplyDeleteVery jealous you went to Disney too, my sister just got back from a Disney cruise.. I need a Disney trip:)
This resort is on over 700 acres. By far, it is the quietest I've ever stayed in...and we've been here quite a bit, especially when the kids were little. That pic of the swamp was outside our cabin window. Maybe cypress, but I'm really not sure. The trails are so pretty in the predawn light.
DeletePretty pictures!! Almost makes me want to drag my butt out of bed early for the pretty light.
ReplyDeleteIt is really (to me) the quietest and most beautiful time of day. Try it!
DeleteAwh I am so jealous...I LOVE Disney, but it's been a few years since we've been!!
ReplyDeleteThis was our first trip in a while. You forget how much you miss it!
DeleteBeautiful! I rounded out my weekend with a 5-miler on Friday and a lovely 2-mile walk along a river trail with my sister-in-law and her toy poodle on Saturday. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that is my favorite distance. I like walking my dogs too and will be glad when it stays light longer in the evenings to do that.
DeleteFun! We threw a huge Italian dinner party on Saturday night, so I spent much of Sunday resting!
ReplyDeleteOohhh. That sounds yummy!
DeleteThat does look like a beautiful place to hang out, and to run of course! The weather here this weekend was in the low 60s! I got in some awesome runs and enjoyed the short break from winter :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to come home to cold weather and brown yards. I guess spring, and allergies, will be here soon enough.
DeleteHope your FIL is better soon! Pretty paths just beckon, don't they?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous setting and pics! Would love to run there.
ReplyDeleteI was pleasantly surprised to find the running trail!
