As this goes live, I'm still enjoying a long weekend on the beautiful emerald coast with several running friends and fellow blogger buddies. You'll have to be patient for the details. Suffice it to say: we had a blast, Florida Gulf Coast beaches never disappoint, and there were a few incredible PRs at the Panama City Beach half marathon.
I am soooooo proud of this lady (and all of our runners!) |
Just one attempt...seriously! |
Have you ever visited the Florida panhandle? Which city?
Where is your favorite beach?
It sounds like you had so much fun! I loved following along on your shenanigans on Instagram!
ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks for the linkup!
As you can imagine, there are so many incredible pictures to sort through. I don't even know where to begin.
DeleteSafe travels and can't wait to hear more details! Loving all the pictures on Instagram!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my word. I'm afraid it's going to take me a while to process everything and post a coherent recap!
DeleteFlorida is Florida....what's not to love? I'm waiting on the details.... ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly. It just feels so much like home too. You know how I love my bodies of water!
DeleteThe pictures say it all! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I can't wait for the details!
ReplyDeleteWe were truly blessed with excellent Florida weather!
DeleteLoved seeing all the pics on IG! Looks like much fun was had by all :)
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to connect with so many at the same time. My favorite part was just sitting on the deck chatting.
DeleteMy favorite picture is the one of all of you jumping on the beach. Gorgeous!!! Next time you girls have a fun weekend like that I am inviting myself. :-)
ReplyDeleteI threw out an open invitation on one of my blog post. I realize now, I probably should have done it more than once! The more the merrier!
DeleteI have never been to Florida but it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually quite different on the east, west, and panhandle coasts. But you can't go wrong with any location in FL.
DeleteWell, being from Mississippi, I've been all over the Florida beaches and you are absolutely right...they never disappoint! Can't wait to hear the details and so enjoyed following along with you guys through social media! I know you all had a blast!
ReplyDeleteWe've traveled to several tropical locations. We still think these are the prettiest beaches. You can't beat the sugar sand.
DeleteI've never been to the Panhandle, but I'm in Key West right now! Florida beaches are truly beautiful :) Congrats on the race--and impressive jump picture!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful! I've been all over Florida but never to Key West. I'd really like to go!
DeleteThat jumping pic is EPIC!!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe we set that camera up just one time? We were happy with the first result and went with it.
DeleteSounds like the perfect weekend! I've only been to Florida once as a kid... I'd love to go back sometime!
ReplyDeleteIt's where I spent all of my childhood holidays and vacations. So, it feels a little like coming home.
DeleteAw such a cute picture of you two! Love beach running :)
ReplyDeleteI've never attempted a run on the actual beach. The sugar sands are pretty deep and fluffy. I'm too scared I'd turn my ankle. (Old lady problems!)
DeleteI visit the panhandle a lot because my Aunt lives in Pensacola! I may have to put this half on my list of races to try.
ReplyDeleteThen you know exactly how beautiful this area is. Definitely put this race on your list. It's very small town. But also well done.
DeleteI loved all the pictures on instagram! It looks like you guys had so much fun! I think that's so great that you all ran together!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun so have so many of us together. I typically only know one or two ladies at any half marathon (or none!).
DeleteLooks like you all had such a great weekend loved all the pictures
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Based on laughter and conversation, I'd say it was a success.
DeleteI've been following your fun on IG and it looks like a blast was had by all!
ReplyDeleteEight ladies with cameras = a lot of pictures. I don't know how I'm going to sort through them all!
DeleteYou ladies looked like you had an awesome time - loved all the instaphotos!
ReplyDeleteWe finally designated Tricia as our official photographer. She is so good at it and we were all attempting a lot of the same snaps anyway.
DeleteThe photos I've seen so far look like SO much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of candid photos, which I think are my favorite kind. It will take me forever to sort through them all!
DeleteWhat an impressive picture! Can't wait for all the details!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we will all have our own perspectives about the weekend. I'm interested to read everyone's posts too!
DeleteLooks like so much fun! Congrats to all! Great pics! Terrific jumping pic for just one attempt!!
ReplyDeleteSome of us (ME) were very happy we didn't have to jump over and over and over!!
DeleteLooked like you all had a fabulous weekend ! So much fun to spend all that time with great women.
ReplyDeleteI can't express how much fun it was to connect and spend quality time with people you feel like you know--but actually don't. LOL.
DeleteI've loved seeing all the pics this weekend! I am also in Florida, but in Cape Coral. Looking forward to hearing more about the weekend and race!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I know where Cape Coral is. I'll have to check out a map@
DeleteSounds like a great time! I've never stayed in the panhandle, but plenty of times in Orlando and Palm Beach.
ReplyDeleteWell, I've definitely been to Orlando! Years ago, I visited a few cities on the Atlantic coast as well. My sister once lived near West Palm Beach.
DeleteHow fun! are you ladies going to make this a yearly thing? It looks like a great break and great fun!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very good question! It would be nice to include more bloggers and have a "convention"!
DeleteI can't wait to hear about the details!!
ReplyDeleteThat jump picture!!! Epic!!! and on one try...boom!!!
I haven't been to the panhandle besides driving through, but we're going to Destin in March. Hope it's not too chilly. ;) Maybe I can find a race? I really enjoyed Naples last year. Those beaches were lovely and I enjoyed seeing all of the mansions! Have a great week ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never been to PCB, or the panhandle, but it looks like you had a fun time at the beach and with the race. I can't wait to read more about it later on in the week. It looks like you had some good workouts leading up to it as well.
ReplyDeleteI could not have loved our weekend together more! I'm going to take you up on that waterskiing invite. Tell me when and where and I will be there... XOXO
ReplyDeleteLove the jumping pic & loved following you & Tricia on Insta all weekend. I've biked all through the panhandle. We started in Jacksonville, and were in the panhandle all the way until we hit Mobile, AL. So I'd say I got a pretty good tour, including Panama City.
ReplyDeleteI found more sand in my shoes even after shacking them out for the third time. I just smiled. How is it already over? Ahhh I'm still absorbing everything from this weekend! I'm already looking forward to March with you and hoping January will work out too! :)
ReplyDeleteThat pic is SOOOO awesome! Who took it?
ReplyDeleteI was stationed at Eglin AFB back in '92, and LOVED the coast. I can't wait to live in Florida again one day
I just can't even put it all into words yet! xoxoxo!
ReplyDeletelooks like it was a great week! I LOVE the beach, never been to the FL panhandle though... my fav beach is Cape May NJ!!

ReplyDeleteThis my first trip to the Panhandle. Loved every minute. You are the best hostess. Looking forward to the next time. Miss you!!
ReplyDeleteLike Darlene, this was my first time to the Panhandle, although I'd been to FL many times before. Kauia has my heart, but maybe the best beach I've ever been to was South Padre.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing all the photos on instagram! It looks like a really fun weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLove the jump picture! Oh and of course the zebra skirt!:O
ReplyDeleteWe're in the middle of our first blizzard for the year and your beach pictures look extra beautiful! Can't wait to hear more about the race!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the fall colors, it is one thing I miss about NY, Tampahas no fall colors.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! I've never been the panhandle of Florida (or the Gulf side, for that matter), but it's on my list. It looks beautiful there!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was such a fun meetup! and those pictures all turned out so amazing.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear all the details... it was fun to see all the IG pics!
