New Roads (WW # 185 )

Wendy and I host this linkup for
the sole purpose of supporting active women.
We thank you for linking your
FITNESS  RELATED  POST  with us!

We are in our house but hardly settled.  I guess that is what happens when you move in stages and you decide to do it all yourselves.  The days I don't work, I am on my feet from sunup to bedtime; don't get me started about the stairs.  I have only run once on my new roads, leaving me with mild shin splints.  Those I attribute to the two big hills I encountered within the first mile.

Amy from She Runs By Faith is currently packing up her home for a move...impressively with three young boys under foot.  I think she is much better at multi-tasking than I am!  Did I mention she is training for another marathon too?  She very graciously accepted my panic-filled request to fill in again as guest host at the last minute.   Please show Amy lots of love.

  4. There’s some definite hills there! Pretty . . . but no shoulders. This too shall pass, I promise. Although it takes a long time for a new house to feel like home.

  5. Moving is always so stressful but I think that you are handling it very well! The new road by your home looks beautiful but there are definitely some hills! I hope that moving continues to go well and that you get some rest soon!

  6. That is a steep hill! We have a hill leading up to our house currently, I love leaving for a run but hate coming back ;)

  7. It's been 15 years since we've moved into this house, but we also did all of our moves on our own. Just think of all the money you're saving :) I'm fairly new to your blog - was this a job move, downsizing, or just wanted to move to a new area? That is a steep hill - but it looks quite pretty there!

  13. That's quite the hill! I'd love to have a few hills on my run routes (no luck here in the coastal flatlands). Good luck getting settled in your new home. Moving is always crazy.

  14. I hope settling in goes well! Moving itself feels like a hard exercise routine. We moved twice this past year (cross-country, and then into a house) and both times it was exhausting! I hope you can get some good rest soon as you settle in more.
